Homemade tomato & basil sauce

With my basil plant suddenly overgrown I decided to try making my own tomato and basil sauce.

Instructions
Step 1
Cook chopped onion in pan until soft
Step 2
Add the tomatoes to onions and cook till tomatoes have broken down.
Step 3
Add garlic & stir in

Add tomato purée
Step 5
Add chopped basil
Step 6
Add 300ml of vegetable stock
Step 7
Add a teaspoon of cornflour to a mug and add a bit of cold water. Mix and add to sauce to thicken it.
Step 8
Add salt and pepper to taste
Step 9
Leave to simmer for 20mins to allow the flavours to mix.
