Oyakodon, literally "parent-and-child donburi", is a donburi, or Japanese rice bowl dish, in which chicken, egg, sliced scallion.

Instructions
Step 1
Combine water, dashi, sake, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar in a small pan and bring to a simmer over high heat.
Step 2
Add chicken pieces and cook, stirring and turning chicken occasionally, until chicken is cooked through.
Step 3
Add green onion, and cook a minute.
Step 4
Reduce heat to a bare simmer. Beat eggs lightly in a medium bowl, and pour eggs into pot.
Step 5
Cover and cook until eggs are cooked.
Step 6
Put egg and chicken mixture over rice, and garnish with nori.
