1 lbsground beef

2carrots
diced

1onion
medium, diced

5 clovesgarlic
diced

5potatoes
quartered

¼ cupchicken broth low sodium

¼ cupcottage cheese

1 cupcheddar cheese shredded

¼ cupolive oil mayonnaise

1 bagfrozen corn

2 Tbsgarlic salt

1 ½ Tbslemon pepper

½ Tbsground pepper

2 TbsGarlic Powder

2 Tbsolive oil

1 bunchthyme

1 bunchrosemary

¼ cupbasil

1 bunchoregano

4bay leaves

1 bunchsage

2egg yolks
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and cut potatoes. Add to a large pot and fill with water to cover the potatoes. Bring to boil on high heat.
Step 2
Peel and dice the carrots and onions. Add olive oil to large pan and begin sauteing on medium heat.
Step 3
Chop garlic and add to carrots and onions once translucent.
Step 4
Once garlic is fragrant, add ground beef and season with 1 tbs of garlic salt, lemon pepper and garlic powder
Step 5
Cook beef mixture until beef is browned throughout. Once browned remove from heat.
Step 6
Once potatoes are fork tender, strain out the water and using the same empty pot add the chicken broth and return to medium heat.
Step 7
Add fresh herbs to chicken broth and steep till fragrant
Step 8
Once fragrant remove the fresh herbs and return the potatoes to the pot
Step 9
Mash the potatoes till smooth before adding the mayonnaise, cottage cheese and cheddar cheese.
Step 10
Once potatoes are smooth add 1 tbs of garlic salt, lemon pepper, garlic powder and 1/2 tbs of ground black pepper. Add 2 egg yolks.
Step 11
Begin layering the different elements into a medium baking dish. Ground beef mix on the bottom, corn in the middle, and top with the mashed potatoes
Step 12
Bake the Shepard's pie at 375 for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown all over.
