Ingredients

Phyllo sheets
thaw for 24 hrs before use
1 ½ cupsbutter ghee
melted to brush on dough sheets
Ground pistachios
Ashta
3 cupswhole milk
1 ½ cupsheavy whipping cream
½ cupgranulated sugar
½ cupcornstarch
1 Tbsporange blossom water
optional

Instructions
Ashta Preparation
Step 1
In a pot, whisk together all of the Ashta ingredients
Step 2
Bring to a boil, medium heat, while stirring constantly until thick for about 10-15 minutes
Step 3
Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl and cover with plastic wraps. Cool completely!
Syrup Preparation
Step 4
Combine sugar, water, and lemon juice and bring to a medium-heat boil.
Step 5
Once boiling, reduce to medium-low heat for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add orange blossom water (optional)
Avengers Assemble
Step 6
Preheat oven to 350*F and set aside a flat baking pan greased with melted butter ghee
Step 7
On a clean surface, lay one sheet of phyllo and brush with melted butter ghee and place another sheet on top. Continue this process until 10 sheets have been used
Step 8
Cut the stack into 3 to 4-inch squares and place a tbsp of Ashta in the center. Fold the corners over to form triangle
Step 9
Transfer triangles onto the baking pan and bake until golden brown for about 30 min
Step 10
Remove from oven and pour as much syrup as you want and garnish with crushed pistachios
