A tres leches cake is my go-to when I want a simple recipe where you can play around with the flavor and it’s so delicious! I topped these cinnamon version with cream cheese frosting, and that combo is perfect!

Instructions

Step 1
Whisk to combine all of the cake ingredients and pour in mini baking pans or cupcake pans. In a preheated oven at 350f, bake for about 15-20min.

Step 2
In the meantime, make your milk mixture by combining the ingredients and set aside in the fridge for later.
Step 3
As for the frosting, start with creaming your cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually add the heavy cream until and after it’s well incorporated, increase the speed and continue to beat until stiff peaks are formed. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with an attachment tip.
Step 4
Remove the cakes from the oven when a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Allow the cakes to completely cool down before poking holes all over.
Step 5
Pour your milk mixture on the cakes, pipe your frosting, and garnish with more cinnamon. I like to let the cakes rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours so that the milks are completely soaked in. Enjoy!
