1 Tbspground anise seeds

Step 1
1. Mix all dry ingredients except the yeast

2. Add the ghee and olive oil and rub with the semolina and flour, cover the plate and rest the dough for a whole night

3. Boil 2 tbsp anise seeds in 2 cups water on high heat then simmer for 20 minutes, strain the water and keep it aside

4. The next day, dissolve the yeast and a tablespoon of sugar in the warm boiled aniseed water , cover and wait 10 minutes.

5. gradually add the boiled aniseed water to the flour and semolina and knead only with the tips of the fingers, do not exaggerate with the kneading,

6. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes

7. mix the filling ingredients and shape it into a long stick

8. take a portion of the dough and divide it into equal-sized balls

9. roll the dough ball with the ends of the fingers lengthwise and put the dates inside and press, then close the edges of the dough on the dates and roll the dough with the edges of our fingers, then we fold the dough in the form of a circle and press with the tip of the finger on the edge of the dough
