Ingredients
4 servings
1 lblean ground beef
at least 80%
½ cupherb-flavored feta cheese
crumbled
¼ cupkalamata olives
chopped
1 tablespoonfresh oregano leaves
chopped
2 teaspoonsfresh mint leaves
chopped
4pita breads
pocket, 6 inch, cut in half to form pockets
0.5cucumber
medium, thinly sliced
4 slicesred onion
thin, cut in half
1tomato
medium, sliced y
¼ cupfat-free Greek plain yogurt
4 tablespoonsfeta
crumbled
Instructions
Step 1
Heat gas or charcoal grill.
Step 2
In large bowl, mix beef, cheese, olives, oregano and mint
Step 3
Shape mixture into 4 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Step 4
Place patties on grill over medium heat.
Step 5
Cover grill; cook 10 to 12 minutes, tuming once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F.
Step 6
Cut burgers in half.
Step 7
Fill each pita pocket with burger half and cucumber, onion and tomato slices; drizzle with yogurt.
