Ninja Foodi Sausage Casserole

Sausage casserole is the ideal comfort food and it is even easier to make in a Ninja Foodi!

Ingredients
4 servings

1 Tbspolive oil

1onion
chopped

2cloves garlic
crushed

8sausages

6 rashersbacon
chopped or lardons

4carrots
chopped

250gfrozen peas
or alternative green vegetable of your choice

400gpassata
or tinned tomatoes

1 Tbsptomato puree

1 Tbspworcestershire sauce

300mlvegetable stock

2bay leaves

1 tspdried mixed herbs

salt

pepper
according to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Seal the sausages either directly in the Ninja Foodi using the air fryer function, or, in the oil using the 'Sear/Saute' function.
Step 2
Add the onions and garlic and sear for a further 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 3
Add the remaining ingredients and stir together.
Step 4
Put the pressure cooker lid on and set to 'Seal.'
Step 5
Select the pressure cooker function and set it off on high pressure for 15 minutes. It will take about 10 minutes to reach pressure.
Step 6
Once the pressure cooker has finished leave it for 10 minutes to release naturally before performing a quick release.
Step 7
Remove bay leaves.
Step 8
Serve with your choice of side if required.

You can use lardons instead of bacon rashers.
Step 10
Add in the vegetables you have available, for example, you can also include leek, celery and potatoes.
