Ingredients
4 servings
1 x 9 ozfrozen chopped spinach
package, thawed and squeezed dry or 6-10 oz fresh Spinach steamed and drained
0.5onion
small, sliced very thin
1 clovegarlic
large
6eggs
¼ cupheavy cream
½ tspsea salt
¼ tspblack pepper
1 ½ cupsSharp Cheddar Cheese
pie crust
Prepared, from fridge or frozen section
cooking spray
4 slicesbacon
Optional, cooked and chopped or 1/4 cup bacon bits
Instructions
Step 1
1. Pre heat your oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2
2. Place your pie crust into a 9 inch or 8 inch pie plate and crimp the edges.
Step 3
3. Saute the onion and garlic in a Tbsp. of butter just until softened.
Step 4
4. Combine all the filling ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Step 5
5. Pour the filling into the crust.
Step 6
6. Bake for 32-40 minutes until center is set. If center is not setting but crust is starting to brown, cover with foil
Step 7
7. You can check the middle with the tip of a knife
Step 8
8. Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes before serving
