Ingredients

⅛ cupbasmati rice
⅛ cupbuckwheat groats
or steel cut oats
¾ cupwater
1 tspghee
¼ tspcardamom
¼ tspsalt
¼ tspfresh ginger
1date
chopped
vanilla powder

Instructions
Step 1
Heat ghee in a pot or pressure cooker. Simmer spices until the aroma comes up and add grains & chopped dates. Stir and coat the grains, then add water. Bring to a boil and turn heat to low. Simmer for 12 minutes in a pressure cooker or 20 minutes in a pot. In general, avoid mixing fruits and grains to prevent fermentation in the gut. Dates are the exception as they do not have this effect in the belly.
