Gastroparesis Friendly Rice Grits
3 steps
Prep:5minCook:5min
Gastroparesis makes it hard to digest food. This is a low fat, low fiber recipe with a decent amount of protein and nutrition. This qualifies as a soft food but still feels like eating. You can really get creative with the flavoring, these are just two options to get you started.

Bring the milk to a gentle simmer. Once it’s simmering, add rice grits. Keep heat low so milk doesn’t boil over. Mix every so often. It should cook about 5 minutes. If you are making the savory version, add the egg whites in the last minute on the heat and mix it in.
