Preparation Instructions
Step 1
- Cut the sirloin steak into thin strips and set aside.
- Dice the onion and bell peppers, and mince the garlic.
- Measure out the rice, chicken broth, and white wine.
- Crush the saffron threads in a small bowl.
Cooking Instructions
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips and cook until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3
In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Add the bell peppers and cook for another 2-3 minutes until softened.
Step 4
Add the rice, paprika, saffron, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and stir until the rice is coated in the spices.
Step 5
Add the chicken broth and white wine to the skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
Step 6
Stir in the cooked steak strips and chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
