Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190°C and line the baking trays with parchment paper.

Step 2
In a mixing bowl, comvine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the butter. Using your fingertips, mash it until no large pieces are visible. (Until crumbly texture)
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg and vanilla extract/lemon juice together.
Step 4
Make a hole in the center of the flour mixture and add the milk all at once and mix using a spatula.
Step 5
On the table, sprinkler some flour and use your hands to bring the dough together and to flatten and fold the dough over a few times.
Step 6
Flatten the dough (using hands/rolling pin), use the round cutter to cut out scones. Arrange them on the baking tray, leaving 3 fingers apart between them.
Step 7
Brush the tops of the scones with egg eash. Bake the scones for about 10 minutes until golden brown on the bottom and lightly browned on top. Let cool.
Step 8
Finally, it's ready to be served!
