• Cut salt and sugar in half for Lida
• Careful when adding kasha to boiling water. If groats fall on burner they can burn.
• BRM Buckwheat comes untoasted. To toast: pan-fry dry (no oil!) medium-high heat, stirring constantly with spatula, until toasted.
If making as adult meal:
• Try using egg to cook it?
• Add onion
• Use broth instead of water?

Instructions
Step 1
Bring water to boil.
Step 2
Add everything but kasha. Stir until dissolved.
Step 3
Add kasha, carefully.

Step 4
Turn heat to lowest. Simmer 25 min or until all water is absorbed. Let sit with lid closed and no heat if necessary to get the last bits absorbed.
Bob’s Red Mill Variant
Step 5
Turn heat to lowest. Simmer 10 - 15 min. Drain excess water.
