store-bought, dry
2 tspolive oil
3 tspchicken bouillon powder
5 cupswater
or broth
¼ tspcurry powder
¼ tspturmeric
½ tspcumin
1 tsp7 spice
1 x 15.5 ozcan chickpeas
drained
1chicken
cut to your preference
1 packetsazon
1 tspolive oil
½ tsplemon pepper
½ tspgarlic powder
⅛ tspcurry powder
1 tspsalt

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Season chicken and lay on a foil lined sheet pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown and crisp. In a large pot add olive oil over high heat add maftoul and toast for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add bouillon powder and continue to toast for an additional 1 to 2 minutes. Add water and seasonings bring to a boil taste the liquid to see if it needs any additional seasoning or salt. Cover with lid reduce heat to simmer for about 35 to 40 minutes until liquid is fully absorbed and maftoul is fully cooked through. Add your drained can of chickpeas mix in and cover with the lid. Let sit for five additional minutes. To serve top with chicken, parsley/cilantro and sautéed tomato and onion if desired.
