Step 1
In a large saucepan put all the above ingredients with good amount of water to cover the vegetables, add the salt and pepper.
Step 2
Put it to a boil for 10 minutes, and then reduce the heat until gets soft, about 60 to 90 minutes

Serve it hot in a soup bowel
