Instructions

Step 1
Grate apple.
Step 2
Combine dry ingredients: 1 3/4 cups of flour, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon each of nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and cloves
Step 3
Combine wet ingredients: 1 egg, 1/3 cup oil, 1/4 to 1/2 cup applesauce.
Step 4
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Add grated apple. Can also add additional ingredients such as pecans, walnuts, dried fruit, etc.
Step 5
Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 mins.
