Instructions

For the batter:

Step 1
Add the butter milk to a bowl and add the pepper, onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt and hot sauce to the butter milk.

Add the chicken thighs and let it marinate in the fridge overnight or for a few hours.

For the dry batter:

Add flour, salt, pepper, paprika, onion and garlic powder, cajun spices and cayenne pepper to a bowl.

Prep and fry:

Dip the marinated/battered chicken in the dry batter and coat it well.

Fry it on medium high heat until it’s golden brown.

Serve:

Serve the chicken in a brioche bun with some pickles and spicy mayo to get the Popeyes effect.
