Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease 9x13 Pyrex baking dish with Crisco

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook green beans for 5-7 minutes. Drain water. Pour cooked green beans in the prepared dish in an even layer.
Step 3
In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter. Once melted, add garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Whisk in flour til smooth. Cook for 1 minute while constantly stirring.

Pour in Veggie broth. Stir and cook 3 minutes.

Next, pour in Cashew Milk. Decrease heat to low and continue to stir and cook until thickens (about 10 minutes). Season with salt and pepper. If sauce needs more thickening, make a paste of additional flour and cashew milk and add to sauce, stirring til desired thickness.
Step 6
Pour half of sauce evenly over green beans in dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of fried onions on top. Pour rest of sauce evenly on top. Sprinkle another cup onions over top.
Step 7
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, til hot and bubbly. **Place foil over top for last 10 minutes to prevent onions from burning.
Step 8
Remove foil. Add an additional cup onions. Return to oven for 5 minutes to brown.
Step 9
Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes or so before serving Enjoy!
