Instructions

Korean Rice Cakes

Step 1
Soak frozen rice cakes in water for 20 minutes and drain.
Step 2
Heat 1 Tbsp oil in pan over medium heat.
Step 3
Add garlic. Cook 30 seconds or till fragrant, stir constantly.
Step 4
Add soy sauce, Korean hot pepper paste, Korean rice syrup or sugar, water, dashi power. Mix well.
Step 5
Add Korean rice cakes and fish cakes.
Step 6
Turn up heat to medium high. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to medium. Cook for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 7
Add glass noodles and carrots. Cook for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 8
Drizzle sesame oil over.

Toppings

(Korean Mini Sausages)

Give each sausage a few shallow slits on both sides.

Heat oil on medium high. Stir fry till cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.

(Pan-fried Dumplings)

Heat 2 Tbsps oil on medium heat in a non-stick pan.

Pan fry dumplings for about 2 minutes ( do not move them), till bottom is golden brown.
Step 15
Add 1/2 cup water, cover, cook on medium high for 7 minutes. Uncover, cook till water evaporates and bottom is crispy.

Put everything together

Step 16
In a bowl, add Korean spicy rice cakes.
Step 17
Top with Korean mini sausages, dumplings, green onions and sesame seeds.
