Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C
Step 2
For the cake whisk together eggs, sugar and honey, until the mass increases in size(about 4-5 minutes)
Step 3
In 2 batches add sifted flour, cacao powder, and baking powder. Mix until well combined using a spatula.
Step 4
Transfer the pastry to the baking tray (36cm*33cm) lined with parchment and spread evenly.
Step 5
Bake for 8-10 minutes. Check with the toothpick if the cake is ready.
Step 6
When ready, transfer to a clean kitchen towel upside down and remove the parchment.
Step 7
Divide into 3 lines, each one 12cm*33cm.
Step 8
Each piece roll up using a kitchen towel ( start from the longer side, important to do it while the cake is still hot)
Step 9
Leave it to cool.
Step 10
Meanwhile, prepare the cream, whisk together all ingredients for the cream until firm (about 2-3 minutes)
Step 11
Divide the cream into 3 equal parts.
Step 12
Working with one cake at a time, unroll it and spread 1 part of the cream (add a bit more cream to the edge where you will start rolling the cake, you can use a piping bag or spoon)
Step 13
Roll tightly the cake up and repeat with the remaining cakes.
Step 14
Cover with the cling film (tightly) and transfer to the fridge to chill.
Step 15
Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate glaze, break the milk or dark chocolate into small chunks and place them into the microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave in short 10 seconds bursts, stirring constantly every 10 seconds. When melted add 45ml sunflower oil and mix until combined. Set aside to cool a bit.
Step 16
Take out the rolls from the fridge, remove the cling film and cut out the edges, then divide the rolls into 3 equal parts(about 10cm each)
Step 17
Dip the rolls into chocolate two times and place on the tray, lined with parchment.
Step 18
Transfer the tray to the fridge, until the chocolate is set.
Step 19
Drizzle with the remaining chocolate, let it set and enjoy!
