Instructions

Step 1
1. First make the ground beef- In a skillet on high heat add in the ground beef and brown for 10 minutes. Next add in the onions, garlic and sauté with the meat for about 2 minutes. Then add in the tomatoes, taco seasoning and mix, cover with the lid and cook for another 5 minutes and set aside.
Step 2
2. Make the tortilla chips- cut the corn tortillas into small triangles and deep fry until crispy and golden. Take them out of the oil place them on a wire rack and sprinkle some flaky salt on top.
Step 3
3. Make the Queso- put a pan on high heat, add in the 1/2 tablespoon olive oil, garlic, jalapeño and sauté for about a minute. Next add in the 2 cans of evaporated milk, cumin, mix and wait until the milk heats up a little bit. Turn down the heat to low and add in all the cheese, stirring occasionally until all the cheese melts, and it’s creamy.
Step 4
4. Once everything is done, start layering the nachos tortilla chips first, queso second, the ground beef and more queso. Then add your favorite toppings, I added pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream and fresh jalapeño slices.
