Miso Braised Baby Cauliflower (or broccolini)
6 steps
Prep:5minCook:25min
This is an amazing way to get tons of flavor into baby cauliflower. Baby cauliflower is similar to broccolini and so broccolini would work perfectly as well. It would also be ok for broccoli or cauliflower. This was served as a side dish but stole the show.

Instructions
Step 1
Cut your baby cauliflower or broccolini into pieces that are just large enough to grill. Each piece should be about 2-3 bites. Toss the pieces in olive oil and salt.
Step 2
Bring a grill pan (or cast iron) to medium-high heat.
Step 3
Sear the cauliflower for 10 minutes. Free free to press the pieces against the grill to help them develop the grill marks. You want to see some caramelization on the cauliflower stalks.
Step 4
In a separate pan, bring your miso broth to a soft boil. Add your cauliflower into the broth and cook on a low simmer for 5-10 minutes. They should be tender and easily pierced by a fork.
Step 5
Bring your grill pan to medium-low heat. Return your cauliflower to your grill pan and cook for another 3 minutes.
Step 6
Garnish the cauliflower with lemon zest and salt.
