The Pie Doctor
Welcome to my “Recipe and How-To” pages! First of all, "Yes!", I really am a Medical Doctor! And, I also love to cook. I especially love to make pies. I made my first pie (vanilla pudding) in my dorm room in college. I rolled out the pie dough between two washcloths (hey - pastry cloth/wash cloth, right?) using a wine bottle as my rolling pin. Through my love of cooking and pie-making, I thought of some ways to make my own cooking and baking easier, faster and safer. I invented the "Perfect Crust Pie Weight Chains" way back in the ‘90’s. Since then, we’ve added a number of unique and innovative products, all designed to make it easier to let you enjoy the foods we all love. Check out some of my favorite recipes in these pages. You’ll find the classics as well as some new and unusual recipes. All have been tested (by me) and will make welcome treats for your family and friends. I'll also be adding some basic “How-To” as well, designed to answer questions and reduce anxiety. (Some "pointers" that I wish I had when I started out on my cooking venture!)
