Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Step 2
In a small pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Step 3
Add half of the diced onion and the garlic and sauté until lightly browned.
Step 4
Add the sautéed onion and garlic, turkey, egg, almond meal, salt and pepper to a bowl.
Step 5
Mix well and using a medium cookie scoop, or about 1 tablespoon per meatball, form round meatballs and lay them on a cookie sheet.
Step 6
Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly browned.
Step 7
While the meatballs bake, whisk together the cranberry juice, and arrowroot powder.
Step 8
Add the remaining olive oil and diced onion to a medium stock pot over medium heat and sauté for 5 minutes.
Step 9
Add the tomato sauce, cranberry and arrowroot mixture, maple syrup, orange juice, and apple cider vinegar to the pot.
Step 10
Mix together well and bring to a simmer over medium low heat.
Step 11
When the meatballs are baked, add them to the pot and toss them in the cranberry orange glaze. Serve with toothpicks!
