Mamaw's Chicken and Rice Casserole

Loved this. I used chicken broth instead of water. I sautéed chicken with onion and minced garlic and seasoned with lawman lemon pepper multi seasoning. Mixed everything together including a can of mixed veggies. Last 10 min of cook i added mozzarella and sliced green onion. It came out wonderful

Couldn't find cream of celery so I used some heavy cream instead. Added celery and carrots to the mix anyway, just to give it some texture. I also browned the chicken first to get a bit more flavor. (Seemed a bit boring with only chicken and rice.) I think it came out pretty well, but making the recipe as-is wouldn't really work for us. Very simple to make. Maybe go a little lighter on butter next time.

I used what I had on hand... was missing a can of cream of celery, so I subbed with equal amounts of heavy whipping cream, water, and 2 tsp of chicken bullion. I had regular rice, not instant, so I cooked for 75 mins and added about 1/2 to 1 cup of extra water. I sliced up some celery and added some celery seed seasoning. It was so good and exactly what I hoped it would be!!!!

Quick, easy, and delicious. I added a chopped onion, chopped celery, frozen broccoli, chicken bouillon, and seasoned salt. I will definitely be making this again.

I used chicken stock in place of water, cooked seasoned chicken separately, used roasted garlic crm of mushrm soup, and chopped celery. It was delicious and even better the second day. Very easy. Also used regular long grain white rice instead of minute rice, didn't have any on hand.

Added chicken stock and Mrs Dash no salt seasoning Would be good with grated mozzarella, celery, mix veg

Always perfect as a meal, dinner, lunch, whatever works. The soup ingredient makes it so even kids will eat it.

I add about 2 tablespoons minced garlic and top with shredded cheese for the last 15 minutes.

Can add shredded cheese to the top for the last few minutes of baking

I switched the water for chicken broth, added broccoli and carrots, sprinkled the broccoli and carrots with garlic salt, seasoned the chicken with salt and pepper and rotisserie chicken seasoning, and sprinkled cheddar cheese on top. Next time I will crush Ritz crackers on top too.

Turned out OK. I seasoned the chicken with smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder. Swapped water for chicken stock. Added 2 sticks of celery. Next time: make half, add more seasoning and stock, switch mushroom soup for chicken, and cook chicken on the side

I’ve made this several times and had a few adjustments: chicken broth instead of water, cream of mushroom and roasted garlic rather than just mushroom, cream of chicken and herbs rather than just chicken, and I added some all purpose seasoning of my choice to add flavor. It’s perfect with those adjustments!
