4 steps
Prep:10minCook:10min
These spicy wontons are inspired by Din Tai Fung! I love their spicy wontons, but don't live near one of their restaurants. If you're in the same situation, this copycat recipe will help satisfy the craving!

Instructions
Step 1
Cook the wontons in boiling water according to package instructions for frozen wontons or about 4 minutes for freshly made wontons. They will float when they are ready. Transfer to bowls using a slotted spoon.
Step 2
Meanwhile, add sugar, red pepper flakes, Chinese five spice, Sichuan pepper, salt, and minced garlic to a bowl. Stir to combine.
Step 3
Heat the vegetable oil, sesame oil, and chili oil in a small sauce pan over medium heat until hot. Pour over the garlic mixture. You will hear the garlic sizzle. Then stir in the light soy sauce and black vinegar.
Step 4
Evenly pour the sauce among bowls of wontons. Garnish with sliced green onions.
