Tandoori Aloo also called Tandoori Aloo Tikka is a flavorful appetizer or starter snack of marinated, spiced potatoes that are usually grilled in a Tandoor - a clay oven. My recipe of Tandoori Aloo is easily adaptable to grill in an oven or pan-fry in a skillet or frying pan.

1 ½ teaspoonskashmiri red chili powder
or paprika, add as needed

½ teaspoongaram masala

1 teaspoonchaat masala powder

1 teaspooncoriander powder
ground coriander

½ teaspoondry fenugreek leaves
kasuri methi, crushed, optional

⅛ teaspoonturmeric powder
or 2 to 3 pinches of turmeric powder, haldi, optional

1 dropsorange extract
natural color, optional

black salt
or regular salt, add as required

3 tablespoonsoil
if pan frying, add as needed
