Instructions
Step 1
In a medium pot bring water to a boil then add the lentils and rice. Lower to medium heat, allow to boil for about half an hour or until fully cooked.
Step 2
Add olive oil to a hot skillet, sauté the cubed onions until translucent, then add in the ground meat. Sear for 4 minutes or until cooked. Add in ½ tablespoon of 7 spices or allspice, salt, and mix.
Step 3
Blend the soup until creamy using an immersion blender. Add in the cooked meat and onions.
Step 4
Spice the soup with cumin or crushed kamoon, 7 spices, salt to taste, and chopped parsley.
