This is a super easy recipe that does not require much effort to make. Often served in Turkish Meze Restaurants known as Lokanta, this recipe originated in the Turkish city of Izmir.

or Beef, 20% Fat

1Onion
Grated, Juice squeezed out

1 ½ TbspBreadcrumbs

1 tspblack pepper powder

2garlic cloves
crushed

2 tspcumin powder

1 tspPaprika
I use Smoked

2 TbspAleppo Pepper

1 tspsalt

2 TbspParsley
Flat Leaf, Chopped

1egg
2 TbspKofte Spice
or Kebab Spice mix, Optional

2 TbspOil
Olive or Vegetable

2Potatoes
large, Peeled and cut into thick wedges

2Sivri Peppers
Cut into chunks, Or use Padron or Bell Peppers

250gTomatoes
Pureed, I used Plum Tomatoes from a tin, or use 3 small chopped Tomatoes

1 Tbsptomato puree

2 TbspTurkish Pepper paste
Biber Salcasi or add more Tomato paste

1 TbspMolasses

125mlStock
Chicken, Lamb or Veg, I use a cube crushed in boiled Water, If your Stock comes pre salted, omit the Salt in the Sauce

½ tspblack pepper powder
