Ingredients

1 lbsbeef stew meat
2 boxesbeef stock
Yukon gold potatoes
or red, small ones in the bag are good
1 packCrimini mushrooms
small
3Carrots
1 stalkcelery
large
1yellow onion
large
4cloves garlic
1 cupfrozen corn
2 Tbspfresh thyme
1 Tbspfresh rosemary
1 tspsalt
½ tspblack pepper
1 tspsmoked paprika
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
1 Tbsptomato paste
1 tspgarlic powder
1 tsponion powder
1bay leaf
1 tspbrown sugar
2 Tbspbutter
2 Tbspolive oil
¼ cupflour
Instructions
Step 1
In a large Dutch oven or pot
Step 2
Heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. You can also do this in a crock pot.
Step 3
Add meat and brown on all sides
Step 4
Add flour and stir until the meat is coated.
Step 5
Add - celery chopped small, smashed garlic, half of the onion chopped small, tomato paste, mushrooms, salt, pepper, half the thyme, half the rosemary.
Step 6
Once onions start to turn clear turn the heat up to high and let the pan heat up for about a minute then pour in the bottle of wine.
Step 7
Add - Worcestershire sauce, sugar, bay leaf, last half of onion chopped large.
Step 8
Bring to a boil and then add one box of beef stock, bring to a boil and simmer until beef is tender 4-5 hours. You can add from the second box of beef stock as needed.
Step 9
Add remaining ingredients: Potatoes, Carrots, Thyme, Rosemary, Garlic powder, Onion powder, Paprika.
Step 10
- simmer until potatoes and carrots are done.
