Unstuffed Grape Leaves

This recipe is for my overworked fellow millenials who don't have time to roll grape leaves but want to enjoy deliciousness of stuffed grape leaves without all the work! I would 10/10 recommend you try this out, it is so delicious. If you can't get with this method, by all means keep on rolling ;)

Ingredients
12 servings
1 lbground beef
1 ½ cupsegyptian rice
or calrose, rinsed
1onion
medium, blended
2roma tomatoes
blended
2 teaspoons7 spices
or your preferred spice blend
1 teaspoonsalt
1 teaspoonpepper
1 teaspooncitric acid
if using fresh grape leaves
4 cupsgrape leaves
chopped, fresh or canned
8 cupsstock
of choice
lemon wedges
for garnish
Instructions
Step 1
In a large soup pot, place ground beef and allow to cook.
Step 2
Blend the tomatoes and onion in a blender or finely pulse in a food processor and add it to the beef.
Step 3
Add the spices listed. Citric acid is optional if using fresh grape leaves, if the leaves are from a can, they already are in a citric acid liquid.
Step 4
Add the rinsed rice to the pot.
Step 5
Rinse the grape leaves thoroughly, stack them, and cut them into small pieces.
Step 6
Add the grape leaves into the pot and top off the pot with your stock of choice, I use chicken stock.
Step 7
Allow to come to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for 20 minutes and then it is ready to enjoy with lemon wedges to add to your taste preference!
