Lamb Koftas, Charred Vegetables & Tzatziki
10 steps

While you see I post a lot of fish recipes and vego recipes, I can’t deny that occasional red meat is an important part of my diet. After being vegetarian (and even vegan at one stage) for years, after delving into the research on diet and mental health, it was clear to me that red meat wasn’t quite the evil I was once told it was.
That is of course predicated on the quality and amount you eat, for which I am extremely picky, and if I don’t trust the quality of the meat I am eating, I don’t eat it and will go for the veggie option.
I’ve found some very good quality sources of animal products local to me, and these are all foods I am happy to consume.
Kelly Brogan, psychiatrist and leader in the space of women’s mental health, speaks openly and strongly about the importance of good quality red meat in a female’s diet. And having gone from eating zero red meat for years, to now eating it a few times a month, I can vouch for the benefits from a personal experience that’s for sure - I’ve noticed huge changes in my mental health, energy, mood and overall vitality - and I’m talking really huge changes.
Anyway, this is a delicious Greek inspired lamb recipe to enjoy! It’s a recipe directly from my Low Carb Starter Kit. This kit contains everything you need to start a low carb diet, and eat delicious food like these lamb koftas!
