Instructions
Step 1
In a pan, bring your milk to the boil with a split vanilla pod.
Step 2
In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until pale. Add in the corn flour and whisk again until completely incorporated.
Step 3
Once your milk has boiled, pour a 1/3 of it into your egg mixture slowly whilst whisking. Pour the rest of the milk into the bowl and whisk. Pour the entire mixture back into the pan and continue whisking on low heat until it thickens.
Step 4
Pour the pastry cream into a container, then cover with clingfilm. Allow to cool to room temperature then place in the fridge
