Instructions

Step 1
First, add the oil and butter to a medium pot on high heat. Then, add in the cubed onion and sauté until caramelized. ⁣

After washing and soaking the red lentils and rice for 10 minutes (in one bowl), drain the water then add them to the pot. ⁣
Step 3
After that, pour in the 6 cups of water, bouillon cubes, salt ,and a pinch of 7 spices. Allow to boil, then simmer for 20 minutes stirring occasionally. Garnish with chopped parsley and enjoy alone, veggies or with pita bread.
