Lobster Ravioli

A delicious sauce to pair with premade lobster ravioli. I buy the Rana brand from my local Sam’s Club whenever they are in stock. It comes in a two pack so I use one and freeze the other for two delicious meals!

Ingredients
4 servings
2 Tbspbutter
1shallot
diced, I sub for yellow onion because that’s what I have on hand
1 teaspoongarlic
minced
1 teaspoondried thyme
I’m not a fan of thyme so I may not use it again
1 teaspoondried basil
¾ cupdry white wine
a cheap Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay worked great
2heavy cream
start with 1.5 cups you can always add more of the sauce is too thick
2 tspold bay
i would use a little less it can get a little salty
1 tsppaprika
more for a pinker sauce
1 tspkosher salt
taste before adding! You may not need it! Old Bay is REALLLY salty
½ tspblack pepper
fresh parsley
parmesan cheese
for garnish
12 ounceslobster ravioli
or cheese ravioli, I use one of the packs that come in my two pack
Instructions
Step 1
Get salty water boiling for the ravioli!
Step 2
In a large saucepan heat butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 3 minutes until soft. Add minced garlic and cook an additional minute.
Step 3
Add the dried thyme and basil to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4
Using a wooden spoon stir in the dry white wine and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Step 5
Slowly add in the heavy cream and old bay seasoning. Whisk to combine all the ingredients, and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10 -15 minutes until the sauce starts to slightly thicken, whisk frequently so it doesn’t the cream doesn’t scald.
Step 6
While the sauce is simmering, prepare the ravioli according to the package instructions. Set cooked ravioli aside while you finish up the sauce.
Step 7
Taste and add more salt and pepper if needed. Remove from heat.
Step 8
Plate the ravioli and add the sauce. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and grated parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
