Korean-Style Beef & Candied Bacon Burger

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C. Cut the potatoes into chips and add to a baking tray with a drizzle of vegetable oil and a pinch of salt. Mix and place in oven for 25-30 minutes
Step 2
Add the beef mince to a bowl with the garlic, ginger, and a generous pinch of salt. Mix up and divide into two beef patties
Step 3
Add the bacon to a baking paper lined tray. Put the bacon into oven for an initial 10 minutes
Step 4
Drain and pat dry the mozzarella. Tear into two pieces. Cut the tomato into slices
Step 5
Heat a large frying pan with a drizzle of vegetable oil. Add the patties and cook for 5-6 minutes. Flip and spread the gochujang paste on to the patties. Top with the torn mozzarella. Cook covered for 3-4 minutes
Step 6
Remove bacon and pour honey over. Place the brioche buns on the baking tray and return to the oven for 2-3 minutes
Step 7
Serve by spreading mayo on the buns. Add the patties, bacon, and tomatoes
