Spaghetti aglio e olio

After trying a few different recipes this is what I’ve found works best Could try adding the pasta water to the garlic oil before the spaghetti and see if it helps it combine

Instructions

Step 1
Boil the water for the pasta and cook for approx 8 minutes until just al dente
Step 2
While the pasta is cooking, chop the garlic into thin slices
Step 3
Drain the pasta and set aside, saving some pasta water
Step 4
Add the oil and garlic to a pan and stir on medium low heat until just tuning golden, add the chill flakes if using
Step 5
Then add the spaghetti to the garlic oil along with the pasta water, then the heat to high and toss and stir rapidly to emulsify the sauce
Step 6
If the sauce is looking too oily, add more water and continue to toss / turn the heat up
Step 7
Keep tossing until the sauce has combined and coats the pasta, then serve immediately
