Spaghetti aglio e olio

After trying a few different recipes this is what Iโ€™ve found works best Could try adding the pasta water to the garlic oil before the spaghetti and see if it helps it combine

Instructions

Step 1
Boil the water for the pasta and cook for approx 8 minutes until just al dente
Step 2
While the pasta is cooking, chop the garlic into thin slices
Step 3
Drain the pasta and set aside, saving some pasta water
Step 4
Add the oil and garlic to a pan and stir on medium low heat until just tuning golden, add the chill flakes if using
Step 5
Then add the spaghetti to the garlic oil along with the pasta water, then the heat to high and toss and stir rapidly to emulsify the sauce
Step 6
If the sauce is looking too oily, add more water and continue to toss / turn the heat up
Step 7
Keep tossing until the sauce has combined and coats the pasta, then serve immediately
