Instructions

Step 1
Season the chicken with the taco seasoning on all sides
Step 2
Place the seasoned chicken, salsa, lime juice, and cilantro in the slow cooker and give it all a stir.
Step 3
Cover and cook on low for 2.5 to 3.5 hours or until cooked through. The chicken is done when it is no longer pink inside and/or registers 165F internally.
Step 4
Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and shred or dice it. Return the chicken to the juices in the slow cooker and stir to coat.
Step 5
Serve the chicken with its cooking juices in a bowl over cooked rice with your favorite toppings.
