Instructions
Step 1
In a large pot brown the sausage, do not drain the grease or turn the heat off.
Step 2
Add the sugar to the sausage and stir.
Step 3
Coat the sausage with the flour by adding the flour into the pot and stirring. The grease will be absorbed by the flour.
Step 4
Add the milk a little at a time stirring as you add it until the gravy is the constancy you want.
Step 5
Drop the butter in and stir until melted and mixed.
Step 6
Salt and Pepper to taste.
Step 7
Serve over biscuits or toasted bread hot.
