Garlic Cilantro Braised Frogs Legs.

This cilantro-garlic braised frogs legs are considered a huge hit in the hot mezze line-up that are popular in the north region of Lebanon. They are absolutely delicious and packed with a rich lemon-garlic sauce, but the cilantro makes all the difference, they’re hearty enough for everyone to enjoy.

Instructions

Step 1
Combine the Frogs’ Legs with Milk in a bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Transfer the Legs to paper towels and pat dry, season generously with salt and pepper.
Step 3
In a Bowl, put the flour, pinch of salt & pepper and mix well, working in batches, toss the legs into the flour mixture to coat evenly, then shake vigorously to remove the excess flour, set aside.
Step 4
Heat 2 to 3 tbsp olive oil in saucepan over medium-high heat, add garlic, ginger and cook 30 seconds, stirring frequently, lower heat to medium, pour in lemon juice, cilantro, season with salt, cook & stir for 2 to 3 more minutes, turn off the heat.
Step 5
In a large skillet, heat 3 to 4 tbsp olive oil, add the the frogs legs in 2 batches, sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until legs is light golden brown.
Step 6
Pour the sauce over the legs skillet, cook on low heat for about 6 - 8 mins until the legs fully absorbs the flavors and cooked through. ** Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Step 7
For serving; place the frogs legs in a serving plate, pour the sauce over it, garnish on top with the fresh cilantro and serve immediately with Lebanese rice or your favorite crusty bread.

Note:

Step 8
** Taste the sauce; If it’s too sour, add a half teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt.
