Instructions
Step 1
Grease and line an 8” cake tin and set oven to 180C.
Mix all ingredients for apple mixture together in a large bowl and set aside.
Combine all the cake batter ingredients in another bowl.
Using a spatula spread 2/3’s of batter over the base of the lined cake tin. Place the apple mixture on top, then spread the remaining batter on top to almost cover the filling.
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until we’ll risen and springy to touch. Leave to cool for a while before removing from the tin. Can be served warm or cold with custard, cream or ice cream.
