Step 1

1. Cook the caccavella shells(or your preferred giant pasta shells)in salted water until al dente. Rinse with cold water, drain, and set aside.

2. In a large frying pan, heat olive oil and sauté the shallot, carrot, and celery until softened.

3. Add ground beef and break it into small pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well.

4. Pour in the cooking cream, mix again, and cook on low heat until the liquid is reduced. Set aside.

5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan).

6. Spread tomato sauce on the bottom of a deep baking dish.

7. Place caccavella shells in the baking dish and stuff each caccavella shell with the filling.

8. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
