Instructions
Step 1
1. Peel zucchinis and slice them 1/4 inches thick
Step 2
2. Place sliced zucchini on an oiled backing sheet and sprinkle with salt

3. Bake zucchini at 400 degrees for 10 minutes

4. While zucchini is baking dice the onion and sauté it in olive oil in a large pan

5. Once onions are translucent, add the minced garlic cloves and sauté for an additional minute.

6. Next add the ground beef or turkey to the onions and garlic along with the oregano, thyme, and any additional salt and pepper.
Step 7
7. Once the meat is cooked through mix in the 2 jars of marinara sauce, cook for another 5 minute and set aside.
Step 8
8. Add the layers to the pan in this order Meat Sauce, Zucchini, Meat Sauce, Cheese, Zucchini, Meat Sauce, Cheese
Step 9
9. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 350 degrees
