Step 1
In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together using a spatula (for about 5 minutes). Add the egg and vanilla, and incorporate them well into the mixture. Then, add the flour, baking soda, salt, cornstarch, and baking powder. Mix well. Next, add the chocolate chips and roughly chopped nuts.
Step 2
Shape the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Gently flatten them, not too much, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 3
