Instructions
Choosing rice
Step 1
I prefer basmati rice (used in this recipe), however this works for nearly every other rice. Brown rice will take a few minutes longer, long/short grain will also be few minutes longer.
Step 2
Place rice into a medium pot, make sure you have a lid, rinse rice under cold running water, until water becomes clear. Drain rice well.
Step 3
Add your water and bring to a boil, watch this as you will need to turn your heat right down as far as possible and add your lid. Check after 10 mins by quickly opening lid and scoop enough to taste. Rice must not be crunchy!
Step 4
Once cooked you can turn off the stove and rice will be kept warm for up to 15 mins as long as the lid is on!
