Instructions

Step 1
Saute onion in a large pot, add sausage once the onion starts to get soft and cooked. Then add the garlic to the pot. Cook for 2 minutes giving the flavors time to mix. Add 3 cups of water and 1 1/2 cups of rice. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to simmer (cover) for about 20 minutes.
Step 2
This can be served alone or with a vegetable side and bread. I love to top mine with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh cracked black pepper.
