My mom's simple chili recipe. No frills and just right. Perfect for us plain jane's and picky eaters.

Ingredients
12 servings

3 lbground beef
seasoned with chili powder and worcestershire sauce

3 x 28 ozcan whole peeled tomatoes
cut in half

4 x 14.5 ozcan dark red kidney beans

2cans tomato soup

Tomato juice
for thinning if necessary

Chili powder
to taste depending on desired spice level

worcestershire sauce

salt
to taste

½ tsppepper

½ tsppaprika

Cayenne
to taste depending on desired spice level

Saltine crackers
for dipping and soaking
Instructions
Step 1
1. Brown ground beef with worcestershire sauce and chili powder seasoning. Drain



Step 2
2. Cut whole peeled tomatoes in half before tossing in a stock pot. Pour all juice in from the cans. Turn stove on to low to start to warm the tomatoes and the next ingredients.

3. Pour in entire contents of kidney bean cans

Step 4
4. Add the 2 cans of tomato soup

Step 5
5. Transfer ground beef into stock pot with tomatoes and beans
Step 6
6. Stir ingredients to combine, and let it warm slowly
Step 7
7. Add a bit of tomato juice if necessary. Pour a bit at a time until reaching desired consistency.

Step 8
8. Add seasonings. I'm sorry I don't know measurements, I just know how much to pour and then I go by taste. Chili powder will be the largest quantity, then salt, then paprika, then pepper, and cayenne if using it.





Step 9
Let simmer together for another 20 mins.
