Step 1
Combine chicken, spice, & oil. Marinade for 1 hr- overnight. Remove from fridge 1 hour before baking.
Step 2
Cut onion in half and remove the peel. Place onion halves cut side down on the pan. Stick 2 skewers into each onion. About 1.5 inches apart, flat side in, so the point of the skewer is sticking up. Add lemon juice to bag with chicken. Remove chicken and skewer it on top of the onions, making sure to lay it flat. Repeat until each onion has 6 pieces of chicken skewered on top. (It should start looking like a schwarma spit). Trim excess skewer. Pour marinade over the chicken and onion. Bake 350 for 40-50 mins. Baste every 15 minutes. Before removing the schwarma from the oven, broil for 2 minutes to get crispy edges. Remove from oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Slice & Enjoy!
