Instructions

Brown the Meat:

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Remove any excess fat.

In the same skillet, add chopped onions and cook until they become translucent for about 3-4 minutes.

Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in the marinara sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes to meld the flavors.

Prepare the Ricotta Mixture:

In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and egg. Mix until well incorporated.

Assemble the Lasagna:

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
